Miskinis - O Sacrum Convivium

From our virtual "European Tour" concert, this beautiful setting of the communion text is by  Vytautas Miškinis, the Lithuanian composer, born 1954, who has a very personal style, combining elements of the European traditions with an engaging freshness.

Verdi - Pater Noster

Verdi's setting of the Dante version of the Lord's Prayer is a very Italian! Full of dramatic contrasts, rich harmonies, and extraordinary modulations. This piece is a test of any choir's ability to stay in tune!!!!  Fortunately they passed!

Howells Requiem V

The Requiem by Herbert Howells became a feature of lockdown life for the choir, as we started rehearsing it in September 2020, and finally, after many interruptions, gave the complete rendition in November 2021! Although this extended time span for rehearsal was not the original intention, it did mean that the choir really had the piece  under their skin when we finally came to perform it!
